無料アプリの方が、実は割がいいんです。クレームがあったとしても、「つまらない」程度ですし。一方、有料アプリは、値段がたとえ85円でも「高い」「金返せ」といった声が上がったりしますね。
また、無料アプリであれば、遊んでもらえばその回数だけ収入の機会(広告の表示回数)が増えると考えられるんですが、有料アプリの場合、一度ダウンロードしたら、同じユーザーからの収入はまず見込めません。
作っている方としては、そういった理由でアップデートのモチベーションは無料アプリの方が高くなります。しかし実際は、有料アプリの方がアップデートをユーザーから強く求められる傾向が強いですね。「お金を払った」という感覚が強いせいか、有料アプリはどんなに低額でも売るのはかなり厳しいです。
